Alice (Michaud)
Pelletier, 87, of Salem, died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 in
Anna Jacques Hospital, Newburyport. She was the wife of the late
Robert Pelletier.
Alice was a
lifelong resident of Salem, the daughter of the late Joseph and
Albina (Fregeau) Michaud. She had been employed at Sylvania Electric
in Salem and the former Almy's Department Store in Salem, but
primarily, Alice worked from her home as a seamstress.
A parishioner
of Ste. Anne Church, Alice was a member of Ste. Anne's League of
Catholic Women and was also a Eucharistic Minister. She painted both
oil and water color paintings and loved to garden and sew. Most of
all, Alice was happiest just being home and spending
time with her
family.
Surviving are
two daughters; Pauline Lunt of Concord, NH, and Susan Barbrick and
her husband Steve of Merrimack, MA, three sons, Ronald of Salem, Bill
and his wife Karen of Kingston, NH, and Dennis and his wife Martha of
Byfield, MA, twelve grandchildren; Eric, Benjamin, Gregg, Matthew,
Lisa, Kristen, Jared, Nicole, Michael, Jason, Amy, and Leah, 15
great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of
the late Bruce Pelletier who died August 3, 2011 and was the sister
of the late Beatrice Michaud, Emma Pelletier, Albert Michaud, Albina
Michaud, and Denise Michaud.
Relatives and
friends are invited to her funeral Mass in Ste. Anne Church,
Jefferson Ave. Salem on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 at 10am. The burial
will be in Greenlawn Cemetery Salem. Visiting hours in the Berube
and Sons Funeral Home 191 Lafayette St. (Rt.1A/114) Salem, Wednesday
from 5-8 pm.
