SALEM — Blanche Anne Culipher, 77, of Salem, died Friday, July 31,
2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers. She was the wife of
James Culipher of Salem.
Born in Nahant on May 12, 1932, Blanche
was the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Reardon) Boyer. A Korean
War Veteran, Blanche joined the U.S. Army in 1950. Upon returning home,
Blanche lived most of her life in Salem. She was active with the Nahant
Senior Citizens Center where she taught painting, she was a long-time
member of the Nahant Village Church and taught Sunday School for many
years in Swampscott.
Blanche is survived by her loving husband,
James Culipher of Salem; two daughters, Wenda White and her husband
Sean of England, and Susan Mason of Tilton, N.H.; two sons, Wayne
Culipher and Stuart Culipher both of Salem; a sister, Helen Taylor of
Nahant; four grandchildren, Kylie Digiacomandrea, Katherine Mason,
Huell White and Hannah White; a great-granddaughter, Ariana Parrelli,
and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Culipher was the youngest of seven
brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her daughter, Diane
Culipher.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held in
the Berube and Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. (Route 1A/114)
Salem, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with visitation period from 9:30 to
10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore-Kaplan
Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
