Mrs.
Doris M. (LeBlanc) Dionne, 81 years, of Bradford and formerly of Salem,
died Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in
Boston, after a long illness. She was the wife of Eugene R. Dionne. She
was born in Salem, the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Melanson)
LeBlanc. She was raised in Salem; attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School
and was a graduate of Salem Vocational High School. Mrs. Dionne lived in
Salem for many years and has lived in Bradford since 1981.
Mrs. Dionne was an assembler in the local electronics industry,
working for EG and G in Salem, General Electric and Raytheon. She
retired in 1992. Mrs. Dionne was an accomplished seamstress and loved to
knit.
In addition to her husband with whom she shared over 38 years of
marriage she leaves a step-daughter, Kathleen Bouchard and her husband
Guy of Beverly, three step-sons, Paul Dionne and his wife Sydney of
California, Roger Dionne and his wife Denise of Breckenridge, CO, Mark
Dionne of Danvers, two step-grandchildren Roger and Christopher
Bouchard, a sister, Theresa “Terry” Morin of Salem, a brother, Albert
LeBlanc of Salem. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She is the
sister of the late Thaddee, Victor, Emile, Desire, Oliver LeBlanc and
the late Hermeline Arsenault.
Her
funeral will be from the Berube and Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette
Street,(Route 1A/114), Salem on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 9:00 AM
followed by a funeral mass in Saint Anne’s Church, 292 Jefferson Avenue,
Salem at 10:00 AM Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park,
Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday
from 4 to 8 PM.
