Eva M. (Lariviere) Talbot, 89, of North Andover, MA, formerly of Salem, died peacefully on March 14, 2009 at the Prescott House Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph N.
Talbot.
Born Eva M. Lariviere in Salem,
MA on April 8, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche
(Hamel) Lariviere. Eva grew up in the
Franco-American Orphanage in Lowell,
MA. In 1940 she
married Joseph Talbot of Salem. She was a homemaker and in later years was
employed by the former Sweetheart Paper Co. of Chelsea as well as the Salem
YMCA.
Eva leaves three daughters; Irene Cuccarello of Amesbury, Diane
Talbot-Wood of Andover, and Rosemarie Talbot of Boxford two sons; N. Joseph
Talbot of Peabody, and Robert J. Talbot of N. Chelmsford, seven grandchildren,
and three great-grandchildren, and four sisters; Yvonne Leclerc, Noella Gawrys,
Irene Pinciaro, all of Beverly, and Alice Belanger of Middleton.
Her
funeral will be held from the Berube and Sons Funeral Home 191 Lafayette St.
(Rt 1A/114) Salem, Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. James Church,
Federal St. Salem at 10 a.m. Burial
will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in
Eva’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, MA Chapter, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
