Frances
M. (deGrandpre) Curley, 85, of Salem, died Wednesday, August 17,
2011, in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers. She was the wife
of the late John M. Curley.
Born
in Salem, the daughter of the late Ubald and Malvina (Mongeau)
deGrandpre, Frances was a graduate of St. Joseph School and Salem
High School. She worked for many years as a Supervisor for New
England Telephone. Frances was a lifelong resident of Salem and a
longtime parishioner of the former St. Joseph's Church, Salem and
later Ste. Anne's Church Salem.
She
is survived by three sons; David Curley and his wife Amy of
Georgetown, Kevin Curley and his wife Elena of Beverly, and Richard
Curley and his wife Donna of Salem, four daughters; Sister Judith
Curley, SASV of Lowell, Anne Kobuszewski and her husband William of
Beverly, Caroline Curley of Salem, and Patricia Curley of Beverly,
ten grandchildren; Christine Clancy of Woburn, John Curley of
Florida, Elise Curley of Georgetown, Michael, Erin, Jessica, Megan,
and Sarah Curley all of Salem, and Eliza and Rebecca Curley of
Beverly, a sister-in-law Laura deGrandpre of Peabody, several nephews
and a niece, and many dear friends. Frances was the sister of the
late Pierre, Jean, and Paul deGrandpre.
Relatives
and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube and Sons
Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. (Rt.1A/114) Salem, Friday from 4-8
pm. Funeral will be in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave. Salem,
Saturday at 9 am followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.SalvationArmy.org
