Isabelle (Griffin) Beauchesne, 97, of Marblehead, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in Salem Hospital. She was the
wife of the late Lyman Beauchesne.
Born in Lynn the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Lothrop) Griffin, Isabelle was a graduate of Lynn Schools and a graduate of Salem State College, Class of
1935. Isabelle worked for many years as
a teacher at Lynn English and Saugus High Schools. She and her
husband Lyman were members of different Marblehead Yacht Clubs over the years,
most recently the Corinthian Yacht Club.
Together they cruised from Maine to Cape
Cod on their boat the “Libel.”
She is survived by a son, Philip Beauchesne and his wife Ann of
Marblehead, three grandchildren; Philip of CA, Ann of Washington, DC, and
Arthur of Marblehead, five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mabel Leblanc
of Lynn, and many nieces and nephews. Isabelle was the sister of the late Gertrude
Johnson and Rose Merry.
Funeral
