Leon A. Berube,
94, of Delaware, died Oct. 20, 2011 in Lewes, DE. He was the husband
of the late Irene (Jodoin) Berube.
Born and
educated in Salem the son of the late Adelard and Marie Louise
(Jeffrey) Berube, Leon worked for 35 years for HP Hood as a home
delivery milkman. He also worked at St. John's Prep in Danvers for
17 years.
Leon and Irene
lived in Salem for many years. In 1994 they moved to Maryland. Leon
moved to Delaware after his wife's passing in 1998 to be close to his
daughter Doris Richard.
Surviving are
one daughter; Doris Richard and her husband Raymond of Millsboro, DE,
three sons; Raymond Berube and his wife Patricia, Robert Berube and
his wife Gail all of Englewood, FL, and Donald Berube and his wife
Maryanne of Peabody, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and
many nieces and nephews. Leon was the brother of the late Francis
Berube, Jeannette Theriault, Lauretta Nadeau, Leona Grondin, and
Beatrice Daniels.
Relatives and
friends are invited to meet at St. Mary's Cemetery, North St. Salem,
Main Entrance, Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 10 am to proceed to graveside for
a service. Arrangements are through the Berube and Sons Funeral Home
of Salem.
