Lillian Mary Dallaire passed
peacefully on Sunday, April 3 at home surrounded by her family after
fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Lillian was the
daughter of David O. and Roseanna (née Desjardins) Raymond. Born on
February 25, 1928, Mrs. Dallaire grew up in South Salem. She
attended Ste. Anne's School, and was a member of the graduating class
of Salem High School in 1946. After high school she pursued a degree
in art at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA.
Mrs. Dallaire's
life reflected her love of the outdoors. She engaged in many
activities including camping, gardening, fishing, cooking, rug
hooking, and traveling. Her favorite pastime was spending time with
her family.
She was
predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond “Bud”, her brothers
Hector and Joseph “Pete” Raymond, her sister Yvonne Raymond
Peterson and her daughter Linda Marie.
Mrs. Dallaire
is survived by her three children; Sandy Donaldson and her husband
Bill of Salem, David Dallaire and his wife Joyce (St. Pierre) of
Peabody, and Deb Heaphy Sammons and her husband Steve of Winchendon,
MA, her grandchildren; Doug Donaldson of Salem, Stephanie Dallaire of
Arlington, Jacqueline Dallaire of New York City, Marc Dallaire of
Peabody, Jason M. Heaphy, Timothy P. Heaphy, Jake A Heaphy, and Josh
R. Heaphy all of Winchendon, MA, a brother-in-law Wendell “Pete”
Peterson of Salem, a sister-in-law Mildred Aubrey of Montreal,
Canada, and Bill Donaldson's three daughters Anita, Deb, and Marci.
There will be a
funeral mass held in St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody, MA on
Friday, April 8 at 11 am. The mass will be followed by a celebration
of Lillian's life in the parish center. Burial will be private.
Berube and Sons Funeral Home of Salem is entrusted with the
