| Beverly
Melda (Levesque) Talbot, 98, of South Hamilton, died Thursday morning in Essex Park Nursing Center, Beverly.
She was the wife of the late Albert Talbot.
Melda was born in Bic, Canada, May 8, 1910, the daughter of the late Archille
and Whilhelmine (Beaupre) Levesque. She
has been a resident of Salem for many years prior to moving to South Hamilton with her daughter. She was a parishioner of the former St. Joseph Church in Salem where she was a member of the Les
Dames de la Ste. Famille.
Mrs. Talbot had been employed at the former Pequot
Cotton Mills in Salem and J. M. Fields store in Salem.She was a devoted mother who loved being around the four generations of
her family. She also enjoyed playing
cards.
Surviving are one daughter Muriel Lemelin and her
husband, Salem Police Lt. Paul Lemelin of South Hamilton, one son Raymond Talbot and his
wife Shirley of Salem, her grandchildren: Raymond Talbot Jr., Diane and John
Harding, Susan Harding, Laurie Montminy, Jen and Geno Fournier, Jr., Cheryl and
David Day, Kim and Joe McLaughlin, and Robert Lemelin, fourteen great-grandchildren:
Bobby, Amy, Brenna, Zachary, and Tori Harding, Arick and Cody Dodge, Hunter and
Caitlyn Fournier, Emma, James, and Ava Day, Jared and Olivia McLaughlin, two
great-great-grandchildren; Jacob and Saefyia, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Berube and Sons
Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. (Rt.1A / 114) Salem, Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, North St.
Salem at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St.
Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are
invited to visiting hours Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be
made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
