Mrs. Noella B (Lariviere) Gawrys, 87, of Beverly, died
Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in Salem Hospital. She was the wife of the late
Zenon Gawrys.
Noella was born in Salem, the daughter of the late
Arthur and Blanche (Hamel) Lariviere. She was a graduate of Salem
Schools and had been a resident of Salem for many years before moving to
Beverly 40 years ago.
Mrs. Gawrys was a member of the Wenham Country Club and
was a Champion 9 Holer. She golfed almost every day until her illness
kept her away.
Surviving are four sons, Dennis Gawrys of New York,
Thomas Gawrys and his wife Carol of Marblehead, Kenneth Gawrys and his
wife Kathy of Rowley, and Michael Gawrys and his fiance Kandi Parsons of
Beverly; eight grandchildren, Jesse, Andrew, Jonathan, Melissa, Philip,
Emily, Jeffrey, and Daniel, two great-grandchildren; Maura and Evan;
three sisters, Yvonne Leclerc and Irene Pinciaro both of Beverly, and
Alice Belanger of Middleton; and several nieces and nephews. She was the
mother of the late Allen Gawrys and sister of the late Felix, Emile,
and Joseph Lariviere, Eva Talbot, and Rita Boudreault.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the
Berube and Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St, (Route 1A/114), Salem,
Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. James Church,
Federal Street, Salem, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery,
Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Friday
from 4 to 7 p.m.
