Rachel
(Ouellet) Cote, 80, of Salem, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Kaplan
Family Hospice House, Danvers.She was the wife of Bertrand Cote of Salem.
Rachel
was born in Price, Quebec, Canada, the daughter
of the late Antoine and Delvina (Sirois) Ouellet.She has been a resident of Salem for over forty
years.Rachel enjoyed spending time with
her grandchildren and was very involved with the Meals on Wheels program in Salem for over
fourteen years.Mrs. Cote volunteered at
the former St. Joseph’s parish as
well as Ste. Anne’s parish in Salem.She loved playing cards and knitting and she
collected stamps.
Rachel
is survived by her husband Bert whom she has been married to for fifty-four
years, two sons; Bert Cote and his fiancée Cindy Eisner of Franklin, MA, and
Tony Cote and his wife Anita of Salem, five grandchildren; Adam, Jocelyn,
Jaclyn, Robert, and Samantha, a brother, Theo Ouellet and a sister, Donat Gagne
both of Canada, and nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Berube
and Sons Funeral Home, 191
Lafayette St., (Rt. 1A/114) Salem, MA,
Tuesday at 8 a.m.
followed by a funeral Mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson
Ave., Salem,
at 9 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited.Burial will be private.Visiting
hours are Monday from 3-7
p.m.In lieu
