Richard Paul 'Ricky' Doucette, 63, of Andover, died Wednesday morning, March 24, 2010 following a courageous battle with cancer.  He was the husband of Paulina (Cabral) Doucette. 

 

            Born in Orlando, Florida the son of the late Leo and Marie (Nagle) Doucette, Ricky lived for most of his life in Nahant.  He graduated from Lynn Classical High School before serving with the U.S. Coast Guard.  Ricky worked for many years as an electrician with Cressey Dockham and Supervalu in Andover and later worked for Lowell Electric in Lowell before having to retire due to illness.  Ricky was a boat enthusiast and loved to buy and restore boats.

 

            Along with his wife, Paulina (Cabral) Doucette of Andover, he is survived by a daughter, Nicole Edgett and her husband Spencer of Beverly, a son, Chad Doucette and his longtime girlfriend Jenni Winters of Nahant, and step-son Dennis King and his wife Stella of Swampscott, and their children John, Christina, and Olivia.

 

            Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Sunday from 1-5 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. in the Berube and Sons Funeral Home 191 Lafayette St. (Rt.1A/114) Salem, MA.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to Mass Prostate Cancer Coalition c/o Green Associates, LLC, 200 Lincoln St. #210 Boston, MA 02111
