EPPING, N.H. — Robert John Tremblay, 69, of Epping, N.H., died
Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington,
after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Lauren (Dubois)
Tremblay.
Born in Jamaica Plain, Boston, Dec. 30, 1939 the son
of the late Robert and Margaret (Murphy) Tremblay, Robert was raised in
Boston and graduated from high school in Boston. A U.S. Army veteran,
Bob returned home and moved to Salem and later lived on Plum Island for
25 years before moving to Epping, N.H. for the last 10 years. Mr.
Tremblay worked for 35 years as a train conductor for Boston and Maine
Railroad and later for Amtrak. Bob was an avid golfer and a member of
the Olde Newbury Golf Club; he loved to read and enjoyed many trips to
Bar Harbor, Maine.
He is survived by two daughters, Catherine
Tremblay and her husband Vinny Aceto of Hampton, N.H., and Lisa
Tremblay and her husband Jim Baimas of Beverly; four grandchildren,
Ryan and Kaylin Blaney, Meredith Besse, and Emily Teague; and two
great-grandchildren, Drake and Elise Besse. Robert also leaves his
longtime significant other, Melanie Miller.

visitation and memorial service will be held in the Berube and Sons
Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St., Salem, (Route 1A/114) Wednesday from 4
to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
